Biography

2019: McGrath started in all 19 matches in 2019... Selected as  team captain this season... tallied three assists in wins against George Mason, UNC Greensboro, and Howard... took eight shots with one on goal... Had a season-high two shots against Coastal Carolina (10/19)... played a season-high 83 minutes against ETSU (10/1)... named second team All-Sun Belt for his efforts in the midfield and defense.

2018: Played in all 17 matches with 10 starts ... started in 10 of the last 12 contests ... logged 1,005 minutes of action ... first career start came at UNCA (9/12) ... tallied 12 shots with one shot on goal ... for his solid effort over the last half of the season, he was named second-team all-Sun Belt, helping the Mountaineers earn their first winning season since the 2012 campaign and posted a top-three finish in the Sun Belt. 

High School: Played his travel ball at Whitworth Park under Russell Braithwaite and Chris Moore at Durham University ... while at Durham from 2015-18, McGrath was the team captain during the 2017-18 seasons, starting in 11 matches with one goal and four assists en route to being named Player of the Year ... with Whitworth, he was the team captain and graduating Sportsman of the Year. 

Personal: Born on May 12, 1997... McGrath is the son of Ian and Elaine McGrath ... enjoys playing cricket and golf, and he works as a DJ spare time ... he'll major in exercise science.
