Appalachian football's annual Fan Fest is set for Saturday, August 22 beginning at 4 p.m. at ASU's Kidd Brewer Stadium.

Mountaineer players and coaches will be available for autographs and photos on the KBS turf from 4-5:30 p.m., as well as inflatable rides and face painting by ASU cheerleaders for the kids. Fans will also get their first glimpse at the new Yosef mascot that will patrol the sidelines for the Mountaineers in 2009.

At 6 p.m., the Apps will hold their final scrimmage before the Sept. 5 season opener at East Carolina. The ASU Marching Band, North Carolina’s Band of Distinction, will perform their gameday hits during the intrasquad scrimmage.

Admission to the event is FREE.

Due to student move-in, parking will likely be extremely limited in lots located adjacent to Kidd Brewer Stadium, including the Stadium Lot. Those attending Fan Fest are urged to park in the Raley Lot, Rivers Street Parking Deck (no charge) or Rivers Street Bike Lanes.

Other Logistics
• Fans are asked to enter at the east gate (located behind the east stands on Stadium Drive). Fans can access the field from the east stands.

• Fans will not be permitted on the west side of the stadium, including the west stands, concourse or the new Appalachian Athletics Complex. ASU athletics thanks fans for their coorperation as construction work continues in preparation of the Sept. 12 home opener vs. McNeese State.
