Men's Track and Field Finishes Tennessee Challenge

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. –– Appalachian State University men's track and field wrapped up the Tennessee Challenge on Saturday.

The Mountaineers posted eight top-five finishes on the day and will now make preparations for the Sun Belt Conference Championships beginning on May 12 and extending through May 14.

In the 400-meter dash, Jabari Johnson finished fourth with a time of 50.95. Sean Doyle finished 12th in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:58.49.

Michael Flanagan finished ninth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:04.86, while Collin Loy took 11th with a time of 4:08.43.

In the high jump, Cole Finch placed second with a jump of 6-4.00. Michael Albert and Nicolas Botett finished second and third, respectively, in the shot put with throws of 43-9.25 and 42-9.75.

Peter Kenn won the discus with a throw of 142-11.00, while Botett finished second (139-11.00) and Albert placed third (137-1.00).

Kenn finished fifth in the hammer throw with a distance of 145-10.00.
