BOONE, N.C. — After a week off for finals and a much-needed rest from having four matches in six days prior, Appalachian State University wrestling returns to action for its last home match before the new year as it hosts Campbell on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. in Varsity Gym.

The 21st-ranked Mountaineers (5-1, 1-0 Southern Conference) will be the first SoCon opponent for the Camels (3-2) this season and the first time in two years that Campbell has traveled to Boone – the Apps won that match 50-3.

Campbell is coming off of back-to-back tournaments (the Navy Classic and the Journeymen Tussle) after starting the season off with five-straight duals matches. The Camels’ biggest win of the season came in its season-opener when it downed West Virginia in Morgantown before defeating Ohio and falling to Pittsburgh in the same day. Campbell’s other loss came at American.

The Mountaineers continue to be hot in duals matches, winning nine of their last 11 dating back to last season and winning all but one of their SoCon matchups in the last two years.
