BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University men's track and field will look to win it's 21st Southern Conference title at this weekend's SoCon Outdoor Championships, hosted by Wofford in Spartanburg, S.C.

This will be the team's last chance at a SoCon championship as Appalachian will make the move to the Sun Belt conference next season.

The Mountaineers, who have posted 41 of the top-10 times and marks in the league this season, will begin competition at 8 a.m. on Saturday and conclude on Sunday.

Marshall McRae ranks fourth in the conference for his time of 10.72 in the 100m dash and fourth for his 200m dash time of 21.83.

Raphael Rojas is third in the league in the 400m dash and ranks fourth for his time in the 800m run. Kyle McFoy is second in the conference in the 5,000m run after his performance at the Florida Relays and ranks second in the 10,000m run after the Raleigh Relays.

Samuel Allen ranks second in the conference in the high jump, while Appalachian has claimed the third, fourth and fifth-place ranking in the triple jump with Jamal TillerHenry Bustle and Adedeji Adeneye, respectively.

Nathan Milch leads the throwers with a second-place ranking in the shot put and fourth-place ranking in the discus, while Richard Bell is second in the league in the hammer throw.
