BLACKSBURG, Va. - Appalachian State University men's track and field capped off the Hokie Invite today in Blacksburg, Va.

Marshall McRae notched a fifth-place finish in the 60m run, tying a career high of 6.92.

Raphael Rojas also finished in the top ten for the Mountaineers, running the 800m in 1:57.74 and placing tenth.

High jumpers Cole Finch and Samuel Allen each finished seventh in the event, jumping heights of 1.92m.

Phillip Thomas placed ninth in the pole vault with height of 4.68m, while Matt Layne placed second in the unseeded pole vault event, setting a personal best of 4.60m.

The triple jumpers found three top-ten finishes for Appalachian as Jamal Tiller took home fifth place with a jump of 14.26m, Adedeji Adeneye placed seventh (13.92m) and Henry Bustle followed, placing eighth (13.91m).

John Leonard rounded out the meet for App State, placing ninth in the shot put while throwing a distance of 14.69m. Nathan Milch finished in tenth place with a throw of 14.13m.

Appalachian will return to action at the Hilton Garden Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Jan. 31-Feb.1.
