BLACKSBURG, Va. - Appalachian State University women's track and field finished up at the Hokie Invitational on Saturday in Blacksburg, Va.
Breanna Alston was the highlight of the weekend, finishing third in the 60m run with a time 7.64 and placing third in the 200m run with season best time of 24.32.
Makayla Roten took home eighth-place in the high jump, jumping a height of 1.67m.
Tatyana Bryant posted a new personal best in the triple jump, placing sixth with a jump of 11.92m.
Brianna Tate led the throwers at the Hokie Invite, placing fifth in the shot put with a throw of 13.84m and then placing third in the weight throw, tying a career best throw of 17.31m. Jocelyn Parnell followed Tate, posting a tenth place finish in the weight throw (15.77m).
App State will return to action on Jan. 31-Feb. 1 for the Hilton Garden Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C.
