BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State University men's tennis will open its Fall slate when it heads to Davidson, N.C. for the Jim Causey Invitational this weekend. The tournament marks the first of four competitions for the Mountaineers over the next month.

Appalachian returns seven players from last year's squad including a pair of all-Southern Conference performers in Sebastien King and Zach Bost, who paired to go 6-4 in league doubles play a season ago.

The rest of the roster for head coach Bob Lake includes senior Matt Saltsgaver, juniors Steve Lake and Robert Jenkins and sophomores Tyler Pyle and Jan-Willem Kleynhans. The Apps also bring four freshmen into the fold in Oliver Casey, Eric Greene, Daniel Hoang and Chris Mahan.

A complete recap and final results from the Jim Causey Invitational will be posted after the completion of the tournament on Saturday evening.
