CLEVELAND, Ohio – Appalachian State University men's golf played a better round two at the John Telich Invitational on Monday.
The Mountaineers finished round one firing a 297 as a team. In the second round, App State shot 289 overall for a 586 and good for seventh place through two rounds.
After shooting a first round 73, Casey Komline bettered his first round by shooting a 72 in the second round for a total of 145 and a tie for 18th. In a tie with Komline is teammate Patrick Moriarty who shot a 71 in the second round after a first round 74 for his 145 total. Lee Mitchell sits in a tie for 25th after firing a 72 in the second round to go with his first round 75 for a 147 total. Tied for 34th is Eric Eberspeaker who has a two-round total of 150 after shooting a 74 in the second round. Caleb Keck shot a 79 in the second round to go with his first round 75 for a 154 total and a tie for 47th.
Individually for the Mountaineers, John Michael Cole is tied for 18th after shooting a 74 in the second round for a total of 145.
