SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Graduate student Daniel Walsh, who tied for fourth at the Bash at the Beach this week, has been named Southern Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for all competition March 6-12, announced by the conference on Wednesday.

Walsh paced the Mountaineers with a 70-72-68=210 (-3), as his final-round 68 and his fourth-place finish are new season-lows. The 3-under is the first time Walsh has recorded a tournament score under-par for the season.
