A new-look Appalachian State men's basketball team will get started today with its first practice for the 2012-13 season.

The Mountaineers have two seniors on their roster — guard Jamaal Trice and forward Nate Healy — and have eight additions, including wing player Jay Canty, who sat out last season after transferring from Xavier.

"We do have a lot of new faces," said Jason Capel, who will start his third season as ASU's coach.
