SPARTANBURG, S.C. — The Southern Conference named Appalachian State University wrestler Denzel Dejournette as the conference's wrestler of the week, the SoCon office announced on Wednesday. It is the second time in as many weeks that Dejournette has earned wrestler of the week honors.
On Sunday at the Keystone Classic in Philadelphia, Dejournette posted a 5-0 record on his way to first place in the heavyweight division. Dejournette is a perfect 14-0 on the season with a 4-0 dual record and has tallied four pins.
