At 1-3, Appalachian State is on the undesirable side of a fine line.
It’s an unfamiliar place for a program that hasn’t experienced a losing season in 20 years. Heading into Saturday’s game at The Citadel, the Mountaineers are trying to figure out what to do about it.
"A few plays here or there, we could easily be sitting here 3-1,” Coach Scott Satterfield of the Mountaineers said. “But we’re not…. There are little things that get you to having a championship-type season. We’re just trying to stay together. That’s the one thing that we’re trying to talk about — keeping everything close-knit and tight and not unraveling.”
