BOONE, N.C. –– Appalachian State University men's track and field will host its only meet of the spring season this weekend when they host the Mountaineer Outdoor Meet.

The Mountaineers are coming off of a strong showing at the Duke Invitational that saw Taylor Drummonds top her own program mark in the pole vault with a jump of 13-2.25 feet.

On Friday, the javelin and hammer events will be held beginning at 4 p.m. with the rest of the meet to be conducted on Saturday, April 30. On Saturday, the meet will resume with field events at 11 a.m. and running events at 12:30 p.m.

Other teams coming to the High Country this weekend includes: Gardner-Webb, Wofford, Wingate, High Point, Lenoir-Rhyne and Montreat.

Complete results will be available at the conclusion of the meet on Saturday.
