Appalachian fell to Louisiana 68-58 on Thursday at the Holmes Center. Madi Story scored a game-high 20 points on an efficient 9-for-12 shooting along with eight off the glass. Joi Jones turned in 17 points in large part to a career-high 11 free throws. App clawed back from a 12-point deficit in the second half to one on multiple occasions, but couldn't get over the hump due to timely shots by the Cajuns.

What to Watch for
Jones had a conference-best 17 points against Louisiana while dishing out five assists and five rebounds. The senior guard is dishing out 4.2 assists while averaging 11 points per game over the previous five games. In addition, Jones has averaged just 1.2 miscues per contest. See if Jones can keep up her efficient play.

• ULM allows the most points per possession in the Sun Belt at 1.041, and has allowed at least 65 points during its six-game slide. Anticipate the Apps on finding their rythmn on offense.

• App State outscored Lousiana in transition, 10-0, on Thursday night. The Apps are 5-4 this season when scoring 10 or more fastbreak points. See if App is able to push the tempo for easy buckets.

• ULM is allowing opponents to hit 34.3 percent from long range this season, the second-highest in the conference. See if the Apps can get some 3-pointers off against the Warhawks. 

• The Warhawks are 12th in rebounding margin in conference play at minus-8.6, while the Apps are second at plus-6.0. Expect the Apps to dominate the glass against the visitors. 

Scouting UL Monroe (5-20, 2-13 SBC)

• UL Monroe is coming off a 78-45 setback to Coastal Carolina in its most recent outing on Thursday.

• The Warhawks have lost their last six games and nine of 10 overall.

• Alexis Collins is averaging a team-high 12.4 points per game while Gabriella Cortez is second putting in 10.2 points per contest.

• Collins is 13th in the league in scoring thus far.

• ULM's leading rebounder, Stephanie Ratliff, is averaging 6.9 rpg. 

• Ratliff is seventh in the league in rebounding. 

• The Warhawks have scored less than 60 points in eight of the contest during the stretch.

• ULM allows the most points per possession at 1.041 points.

• The Warhawks 1-12 on the road this season. 

• Jeff Dow is in his third year as head coach for the Warhawks.
