BOONE, N.C. – Nominations for the Appalachian State 2017 Athletic Hall of Fame Class are now open. Nominations are due by March 31, 2017 for consideration.

Those wishing to nominate a deserving individual can do so by downloading the form (above) and sending to the Yosef Club at:

The 2017 Hall of Fame Class will be inducted on Saturday, Sept. 9 and then recognized publicly at the home football game later that day against Savannah State. Additional ceremony details will be released at a later date.

REQUIREMENTS AND PROCESS: Nominees must have completed their athletic eligibility at Appalachian at least five years prior to the year of their nomination. Former Appalachian coaches are eligible for nomination three years after their last year of coaching at the university. If you would like to nominate someone, please complete the nomination form provided before March 31, 2017. The nomination must include supporting information for the committee to consider, such as statistical achievements, honors, awards, years of participation, etc. The Hall of Fame Committee will consider only those accomplishments achieved while at Appalachian.
The 2016 App State Athletic Hall of Fame Class included: Kerry Brown (Football, 2004-07), Randy Ingram (Baseball, 1975-78), Paul Mance (Wrestling, 1966-69 & 1976-2009), Lori Ransome Harper (Cheerleading, 1985-89), Julian Rauch (Football, 2004-07) and David Jackson ("Voice of the Mountaineers" 2000-15).
