On the heels of its first win in seven games, Appalachian State will look for two wins in a row over Sun Belt member Georgia schools on Monday against Georgia Southern. The Mountaineers and Eagles will tipoff at 7 p.m. from inside the Holmes Center.

SETTING THE SCENE
• Appalachian State will look for its second win in a row this weekend when it hosts Georgia Southern following a 77-72 win over Georgia State on Saturday.
• The Mountaineers snapped a seven-game losing streak with a win over the Panthers. Appalachian is 25-22 all-time against Georgia Southern, but has lost five straight games in the series.
• Appalachian State and Georgia Southern will complete its regular season series today inside the Holmes Center. The Eagles won 92-88 back on Jan. 21.
• In that game, Ronshad Shabazz finished with a career-high 36 points in the Mountaineers' four-point loss. Shabazz is third in the league in scoring (17.0 ppg).
• In three games against the Eagles, Shabazz is averaging 22.7 points and 6.0 rebounds, while shooting 47.1 percent from the field, 47.4 percent from three and 73.3 percent at the charity stripe.
• Isaac Johnson continues to lead App State in rebounding (6.4 rpg). He would become the first freshman to do so in 41 seasons - Mel Hubbard (1975-76 - 7.7 rpg).
• Patrick Good posted his seventh double-digit scoring game of the season with a 15-point performance against Georgia State on Saturday. Good leads the Mountaineers in 3-point shooting (43.9 percent) and is ranked second in the Sun Belt.
• According to Ken Pomeroy, the Mountaineers are ranked the 14th youngest team in the country (337/351).
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
• Georgia Southern enters the game tonight in a tie for first place in the league at 9-3, but is coming off of an 83-70 loss at Coastal Carolina on Saturday.
• The Eagles, despite posting a negative rebound differential (-3.8), have notched nine conference wins and averaged 78.4 points per game this season.
• Georgia Southern shoots 44.5 percent from the floor and allows its opponent to shoot 42.6 percent.
• The biggest difference for the Eagles is the fact they shoot 36.3 percent from three and hold their opponent to a very low 31.9 percent (4th in the Sun Belt).
• The last time the Mountaineers faced the Eagles, Tookie Brown (Sun Belt's second leading scorer) scored a team-high 32 points, while Ike Smith (Sun Belt leading scorer) netted 25.
