NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference announced Tuesday afternoon that the Appalachian State-Georgia State football game on Oct. 1 at Kidd Brewer Stadium will kickoff at noon.  

The contest is the Sun Belt Conference opener for the Mountaineers and will be televised by American Sports Network/ESPN3.  

Appalachian State is 1-2 on the season and faces Akron (2-1) on Saturday in Akron, Ohio. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. ASN and ESPN3 will also have the telecast of Saturday's game.
