Appalachian State University volleyball will look to snap a four-game losing streak beginning on Friday, Sept. 9 when it travels to Morehead State for the Eagle Challenge. The Mountaineers will face off against the host Eagles, Northern Kentucky and Ball State.

SUN BELT LEADER
True freshman outside hitter Emma Longley currently leads the Sun Belt Conference with 4.44 kills per set and 120 total kills this season.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Morehead State enters the weekend reeling after dropping four-straight matches at the WV Capitol Classic last week. The Eagles are 2-5 on the season with wins over Garder-Webb and Robert Morris at the Bulldog Battle hosted by The Citadel.
Meredith Jewell leads the Eagles with 113 kills, including a team-high 3.90 kills per set. The Eagles boast two setters who have achieved the 100-assists plateau thus far with Bailey Nichol collected a team-high 155 assists and Jordan Jones tallying 106.
Danielle McCarson leads the defense with 117 digs, while Jewell ranks second with 92.
SCOUTING THE NORSE
Northern Kentucky comes to the Eagle Challenge with a 3-2 record this season - most recently coming off of a 1-1 weekend at the Bowling Green Invite. The Norse swept IPFW and found themselves on the other side against the host Falcons.
Both Haley Libbs and Keely Creamer lead the Norse in total kills with 51 and 50, respectively. Both Libbs and Creamer also have almost identical kills per set averages (3.19 and 3.13).
Taylor Snyder almost exclusively runs Northern Kentucky's offense and has generated 150 assists on the season - 9.38 per set. Defensively, six have totaled double-digit digs with Lauren Hurley leading the way with 61 this season.
SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Ball State will enter the weekend in search of its first win of the season. Currently, the Cardinals sport an 0-8 mark after dropping a midweek match to Butler on Wednesday.
Sabrina Mangapora is the team leader with 35 kills this season, while six Cardinals have tallied double digit kills. Amber Seaman runs the Cardinal offense and has collected 265 assists. Defensively, Kate Avila has been attributed with a team-high 110 digs.
