RALEIGH, N.C. – Appalachian State University women's track and field wrapped up day two of the Raleigh Relays on Saturday.

The 4x800 meter relay team of Elisa Sargent, Shelby Howell, Phylissa Greeley and Torre Moser finished in eighth place with a time of 9:17.19.

In the field, App State's Lainey Hunnicutt took sixth with a height of 10-5.00, while Audrey Diener finished tied for sixth with Hunnicutt. Sofia San Miguel placed eighth with a height of 10-5.00.

In the hammer throw, India McWhorter placed 11th with a distance of 171-8.00. Sheala Wheeler placed 10th in the javelin with a throw of 101-3.00.

The 4x100-meter team of Darlene Girardeau, Catherine Crawford, Chelsey Hargrave and Kaytlyn Gill took 12th with a combined time of 47.19.

Appalachian State will be back in action next weekend at the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla.
