CHARLESTON, S.C. — Appalachian State University women's golf completed the final round of the 2016 Bulldog Invitational on Tuesday afternoon and shot a 306 for a tournament total of 613. The Mountaineers took home second place at 37-over par.
Lamar took home first place after shooting 299 in the final round and finished at 18-over par.
Emily Stinson shot even-par 72 on Tuesday for a total of 147. Stinson placed third at 3-over par. Savanna Wood carded a 76 in round two and finished at 7-over par. Wood placed sixth.
Madalyn Davis posted an 80 in the second round and finished in a tie for 16th place at 13-over par. Joliana Elias cut two strokes off her day one score with a 78 in second round. Elias tied for 19th place.
Hannah Craver shot 83 on the final 18 holes and finished in a tie for 36th place.
The Mountaineers finished the first day of the Bulldog Invitational in a tie for second place with a team score of 307. App State and Wofford sat at 19-over par after the first round. Lamar was out in front of the rest of the field with a first round 295.
Stinson and Wood paced the Mountaineers, both posting rounds of of 3-over 75. Stinson and Wood were for fifth place.
Not far behind was Davis. Davis carded a a 77 in round one and was tied for 11th place. Elias shot 80 in her opening round of the tournament and sat in a tie for 25th place.
Rounding out the Mountaineer lineup, Craver carded an 82. Craver headed into the final round tied for 31st place.
The Mountaineers will be back on the course on Saturday Mar. 19 for the Low Country Intercollegiate in Bluffton, S.C.
