In the second half, the Mountaineers slowly but surely chipped away and got as close as 11 points after a Lawson three-point play. However, a Panther 8-1 run re-opened a 17-point advantage and the Panthers would go back up by as many as 19 and held strong for a 13-point victory.

Appalachian State will close the regular season out at home next week when it plays host to both Little Rock and Arkansas State. The game against Arkansas State on Saturday, March 5 will also serve as Senior Day.
