Men's Hoops Looks to Bounce Back at Georgia State

ATLANTA, Ga. – Appalachian State University men's basketball will look to rebound following a tough loss at Georgia Southern on Thursday. The Mountaineers and Panthers are set to square off from inside GSU Sports Arena on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
•    Appalachian State fell behind 30-8 early at GS on Thursday and fell 88-63.
•    Frank Eaves led with 13 points, while Emarius Logan tallied 12. Griffin Kinney finished with nine points and seven rebounds.
•    This marked the fourth-straight game Logan finished in double-figures.

SERIES HISTORY
•    App State leads the all-time series against the Panthers 4-1. Both teams split two games  last season.
•    The Mountaineers took the first game this season 76-67 in Boone on Jan. 21.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
•    Georgia State enters Saturday's contest with a 14-12 overall record, including a 7-10 mark in league play.
•    The Panthers give up just 63.7 points per game - good for 16th in the NCAA this season.
•    GSU has struggled on the road this year (3-9), however, they are an impressive 11-3 on their home floor.
•    The Panthers are led offensively by Jeremy Hollowell who has averaged 14.7 points per game this season. He is followed by Kevin Ware (12.2 ppg).
•    T.J. Shipes and Markus Crider lead the team in rebounding with 5.2 and 5.1 rebounds per game, respectively.
•    As a team, the Panthers average 64.5 points per game and are +0.8 in scoring margin. However, they carry a -4.1 rebounding margin.
