BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State University men's basketball returns home to face South Alabama on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. inside the Holmes Center. The Mountaineers will look to snap a four-game losing streak against the Jaguars.

LAST TIME OUT
•    Appalachian State dropped its fourth-straight contest at UT Arlington, 91-60, last Saturday.
•    Depsite the loss, Griffin Kinney notched a career-high 15 points on 5-for-9 shooting from the field.
•    Off the bench, Emarius Logan tallied 12 points for his fourth double-figure scoring output of the season.

SERIES HISTORY
•    Entering the 2015-16 season, the all-time series between Appalachian and South Alabama was tied 1-1 after splitting both games last season.
•    Earlier this season on Jan. 30, the Jaguars were victorious 73-60 in Mobile, Ala.
•    Appalachian actually held a 30-25 halftime lead despite poor shooting, but a big run out of the break put the Apps away.

SCOUTING THE JAGUARS
•    South Alabama enters Thursday's contest with an 11-15 overall record, including a 6-9 mark in league play.
•    Having won two of its last five games, the Jags are coming off of a 61-54 defeat to in state rival Troy on Tuesday.
•    The Jaguars boast two student-athletes with double-figure scoring outputs in Ken Williams and Georgi Boyanov.
•    Williams currently leads the team with 14.8 points per game, while Boyanov chips in 11.3 ppg.
•    Boyanov also leads the Jags in rebounding and corrals 7.9 rebounds per game – leading the team by a wide margin with 205 total rebounds.
•    Last time both teams met the Jags carried a -0.2 rebounding margin, but have since reversed course on the glass and are now a +0.4.
•    South Alabama has been outshot this season from the field and from long range. The Jags are shooting 40.9 percent from the field compared to its opponents that shoot 42.9 percent. From three-point range, the Jags shoot just 32.2 percent while limiting their opponent to 32.9 percent.
