Men's Tennis Travels to NC A&T for Sunday Match
BOONE, N.C. -  Appalachian State University men's tennis (2-3) will conclude the weekend with a 10 a.m. match at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, N.C. on Sunday at the Aggie Tennis Complex.

App State won two-straight matches against Lees-McRae and Presbyterian before dropping its next two matches to UNC Asheville and the Bucs. The Black and Gold are in the midst of an 11-match road trip.

The Mountaineers are coming off a 6-1 loss to ETSU last Saturday at the Dave Mullins Tennis Complex. Senior Zach Bost was the lone student-athlete to pick up a victory in singles competition at the six slot. Trey Morris took his match to a third set after a one-set deficit but fell in the tiebreaker.

Bost, Oliver Casey, Jack Maddocks, Trey Morris and Scott Webster lead the team with two singles wins while Webster boasts the best winning percentage at 2-1 (.667) after returning from injury.

In doubles play, the Mountaineers are 9-5 this season with Casey and Maddocks pacing the team with a 3-1 mark. The duo of Bost/Morries are 3-2 while Jan-Willem Kleynhans and Webster are 2-1.

North Carolina A&T is 0-2 this season falling to North Carolina (6-1) and Wofford (7-0).  The Aggies will have played two matches before the contest on Sunday.

Last season, the Mountaineers swept past the Aggies , 7-0, with all six singles matches going straight sets and the doubles portion either going 6-1 or 6-0 in Appalachian's favor.

App State will play its rescheduled match against USC Upstate on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
