Five Things to Watch for at UT Arlington
• App State is 1-0 this season against Sun Belt teams it lost to in the first meeting this season. See if the Mountaineers can regain their confidence back after the setback to Texas State.
• Appalachian converted a season-high 24 free throws on Thursday at Texas State. The Mountaineers are shooting 77.9 percent from the free throw line over the past four games. Anticipate on the Apps to stay consistent at the charity stripe.
• The Mountaineers outscored the Bobcats, 24-18, in the fourth quarter, playing sound defense with high intensity. Watch if the same intensity carries over into the game against UTA.
• In the Apps' eight wins, the defense has allowed opponents to shoot 29.2 percent from beyond the arc. In the Mountaineers' setbacks, opponents have shot 33.0 percent. UTA is third in the conference in 3-point field goal percentage at 32.6 percent. Watch if the Mountaineers can slow the 3-point attack after allowing nine treys to Texas State.
• Mia Marshall has shot 62.5 percent from the field while pulling down 6.4 rpg and averaging 6.2 ppg since coming off the bench. See if she can give App State the same spark.

• The Mavericks are coming off an 80-48 victory over Texas State on Tuesday.
• UTA has won three straight and four of its last five contests.
• UTA is in fourth place alone in the Sun Belt standings while 1.5 in front of App State.
• Rebekah Vandijk leads the team in points (11.7 ppg) and rebounds (8.9 rpg). Vandijk is aveaging a double-double in conference play at 14.5 ppg and 10.2 rpg
• Vandijk is seventh in scoring in conference play and tied for first rebounding.
• Cierra Johnson is second on the team averaging 10.6 ppg and leads the team with 67 steals.
• UTA is tied for fourth in the conference in scoring at 65.0 ppg while third in points allowed at 56.2 ppg.
• The Mavericks lead the conference in free throw shooting at 77.2 percent.
• UTA is 3-0 all-time in the series after defeating App State, 76-45, in Boone on Jan. 7th.
• The Mavericks game App State its worst loss of the season.
