BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State University men's basketball will look to get back in the win column on Thursday, Feb. 4 when it hosts the red hot UL Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns. Tip time from inside the Holmes Center is set for 7:30 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
• In the short all-time series, UL Lafayette has had Appalachian State's number - leading 3-0.
• Both teams met just after the first of the year on Jan. 2 and the Ragin' Cajuns would win convincingly 79-58.
• The Cajuns took both games of a home-and-home last season by an average margin of victory of 15.5 points per game.
• In three career games against ULL, Frank Eaves is the Mountaineers' leading scorer with 14.3 points per game.
SCOUTING THE RAGIN' CAJUNS
• UL Lafayette enters tonight's contest with a 12-8 overall record and a 8-3 mark in the Sun Belt this season.
• The Cajuns are currently in the midst of a seven-game winning streak. Their last loss came on Jan. 9 in a 71-69 defeat at Arkansas State.
• Most recently, the Cajuns prevailed in their first overtime game of the season in a rivalry game against UL Monroe.
• UL Lafayette took down UL Monroe 72-65 on Tuesday night.
• Sun Belt Preseason Player of the Year, Shawn Long, has led the Cajuns all season long.
• Long is leading the team in scoring (19.4 ppg) and rebounding (13.0 rpg). He also retook the blocks lead in the Sun Belt from Appalachian's Jacob Lawson and has 38 this season.
• Easily the most shot attempts this season for UL Lafayette, Long is shooting 53.2 percent from the floor on 265 total shots. He has also hit 11 threes this season.
• The Ragin' Cajuns boast one more student-athlete in double-figure scoring with Kasey Shepherd's 11.3 points per game.
• Shepherd is tied for the team lead with 34 made threes this season.
• With the help of Long, the Cajuns carry a +8.8 rebounding margin - outrebounding its opponent 42.0-33.2 on average.
