BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University women's track and field is on the road for the second-consecutive weekend, and this time it's in Lexington, Ky. for the Wildcats' Kentucky Invitational on Friday and Saturday inside Nutter Field House.
Friday's action will include the women's weight throw (4 p.m.), men's weight throw (7 p.m.), women's distance medley relay (7:30 p.m.), and men's distance medley relay (7:45 p.m.). Events will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday and first up are the men's and women's high jump.
The Mountaineers were last in action on Jan. 8-9 at ETSU's David E. Walker Kickoff Classic in Johnson City, Tenn. The Black and Gold won the 800 with Shelby Howell and placed a total of five in the top three. Those other four included Imani Chapman in the 60-meter hurdles (second), Hunter Welborn in the high jump (third), Taylor Drummonds in the pole vault (third), and Brianna Tate in the shot put (third).
