BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University wrestling returns to Varsity Gym on Sunday afternoon for a Southern Conference dual against Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Match time is set for 3:00 p.m.

As part of the Old Timers Match, App State will honor its wrestling alumni during the intermission.

LOOKING BACK: The Mountaineers (7-2, 2-0 SoCon) extented their winning streak to four matches after defeating Campbell, 28-12, on Wednesday night in Buies Creek, N.C. Appalachian also has wins against Duke, Clarion, and Buffalo during the streak.

For the second-straight week, App State received top-25 votes in the USA Today/ NWCA poll. The Apps received seven points and are tied for the lead in the 'other schools receiving votes' category with Wisconsin.

SIUE: The Cougars enter the match with a 1-6 overall record and are 0-2 in Southern Conference play. SIUE's lone win came against Northwestern on Dec. 13. The Cougars were last in action against Gardner-Webb. SIUE fell to the Bulldogs, 35-6.

Last season the Mountaineers won, 34-9, in Edwardsville, Ill.
